This calculator is an educational estimator. Results are illustrations based only on the values you enter. Kennify is not a bank, lender or financial adviser, does not make financing decisions, and does not guarantee approval, rates, terms or eligibility. Financing, if available, is provided by independent third-party providers under their own criteria.

How this works

The calculator uses the standard amortization formula for fixed installment loans. Each month, interest is charged on the remaining balance and the rest of the payment reduces principal.

When the rate is set to zero, the payment is simply the amount financed divided by the number of months. An origination fee is shown separately as an upfront cost and does not change the payment schedule unless you finance it.

If you add an extra monthly amount, the schedule is rebuilt with the larger payment so you can compare payoff timing and total interest side by side.

What your result means

The monthly payment shown is an illustration based only on the numbers you entered. A real offer depends on the financing provider, the product, your qualifications and current market conditions.

Total interest is often the clearest way to compare options. A longer term usually lowers the monthly payment while increasing the total amount repaid.

Use the amortization schedule to see how slowly principal falls in the early months of a longer term loan.
